St. John's Youth Choirs - Fall 2019 - it's not too late to start!

Wednesdays
4:30 pm or 6 pm

Music is one of the most powerful ways we connect to God in worship. At St. John's we have many opportunities for young people to make a joyful noise! Choirs began rehearsing this week, but if you missed it, don't worry. Just complete the registration form below and then come to rehearsal on Wednesday, September 25.

Primary Choir

K - Grade 3
Rehearse 4:30-5:30 pm on Wednesdays, and sing in church monthly. They learn basic musical and vocal skills, as well as find joy in singing. Directed by Josie Greco.

Junior Choir
Grade 4 - Confirmation
Rehearse Wednesdays during the school year from 4:30-5:30 pm, and sing in church monthly. In addition to preparing for the Sunday service, there is training in music reading and voice development. They also perform at the Sunday evening concert in December. Directed by Steve Finch.

Treble Choir
Skill-Based
This is a new choir for singers who are interested in mastering more challenging material. This choir meets after the Primary and Junior Choirs on Wednesday evenings from 6-7 pm, and sings monthly. Directed by Josie Greco.

News

St. John's Episcopal Church was the first religious institution to be established in Cold Spring Harbor. The first Episcopalian services were held in the little 18th century school house just above the site of the present church. The very first Vestry minutes, written in fine script on September 4, 1831, lists the founders who pledged $2,000 to build a new church.

“If you are seeking after God, together we might find them.”

Seeking after God is one of the principle marks of Christian discipleship. Christians look for God, and find God, in all parts of life, but sometimes it helps to have company. That’s what the church is for. We are the fellowship of those who seek to find Jesus in their lives. We are companions in life and in the spiritual journey.

Join us in seeking God together.
