The Meditation Class is continuing to meet weekly on Tuesdays at 7 pm.
As the "sheltering in place” time in our lives is going on longer than we had hoped, meditation is a very effective and comforting way to clear our minds, and refresh our spirits. We will be doing the relaxation and breathing techniques that we have been, as well as learning more about how to guide the breath into all the areas of your lungs as you inhale and exhale, thereby strengthening your respiratory system.
Meditating, even for a brief time, will help you release the feeling of being overwhelmed, and give you a way to be in touch with your deeper self. Thomas Merton said, “Go within to that place of peace that is imprinted in your center. It will not fail you.”
You do not need to have attended any previous classes. CDs and MP3 recordings are available as guides for your meditations. The instructor is Irene Gubrud Finch.
