Huntington Community Interfaith Thanksgiving a Success

On Sunday evening, November 20, members of St. John's joined several congregations from Huntington and the surrounding areas at St. John's of Huntington to celebrate the annual Community Ecumenical Interfaith Thanksgiving Service.
Nearly 200 people attended what was a celebration to offer thanksgiving for the gifts we have been given and the collaborative work that these religious organization of many faiths have collectively done.
A special offering was received that supported three special collaborative programs: The Huntington Interfaith Homeless Initiative, The Huntington Interfaith Collaborative for the Environment, and the Ukraine Resettlement Group. More than $1,500 was raised for the three organizations.
Of special note, members of the St. John's Junior Choir joined several children from our community in offering special music for the service. This joint children's choir was led by our new music director, Bryce Westervelt.
