Our mission
We invite all to join us at any of our worship services, and it is our hope that you will find a spiritual home here. Our mission priorities as a parish church are compelling and beautiful worship; supporting our families across the life-cycle; reaching out to our neighbours in need; becoming a more connected community; and stewardship of our natural environment.
Life is short and we have not too much time to gladden the hearts of those who are traveling life’s way with us.
So be swift to love, and make haste to be kind.
— based on a prayer by Henri-Frederic Amiel
Visiting for the first time
Come as you are. There is no dress code, no expectation that you know when to stand or sit, and no obligation in the offering plate. Arrive a few minutes early and someone at the door will give you everything you need and show you where to sit.
Happening now
Volunteer this summer at St. John’s Day Camp
Mondays, 10:00–11:15 a.m., through 14 August
Washington Primary School, 78 Whitson Road, Huntington Station
Come inspire and be inspired by the children attending St. John’s Day Camp, a public-private partnership with the Town of Huntington which runs a free camp for low-income families. Read a book, bring a craft project, do an age-appropriate science activity, or share a talent or hobby. In past summers a parishioner who taught yoga came and practised with the children; another who loved gardening helped them plant seeds; two more paired up for face painting. Teen volunteers are welcome and receive community service hours.
