TICKS & MOSQUITOES: AVOID THEIR BITES!

Thursday, February 25 at 6 pm

North Shore Land Alliance invites you to an important Zoom presentation.

We love nature and want you to feel comfortable being outside surrounded by it. Join us to learn more about avoiding Lyme and other tick-borne diseases.

Cornell University’s Dr. Jody Gangloff-Kaufmann will address the different ticks in our area (including Nassau County preserves), their biology and the diseases they carry, along with how to protect yourself and others from being bitten by both ticks and mosquitoes and how to manage mosquitoes in the home landscape safely. She will also present new research data from studies in Nassau County.

Advance registration required: HERE

News

St. John's Episcopal Church was the first religious institution to be established in Cold Spring Harbor. The first Episcopalian services were held in the little 18th century school house just above the site of the present church. The very first Vestry minutes, written in fine script on September 4, 1831, lists the founders who pledged $2,000 to build a new church.
