Oyster Bay Music Festival 2021!
Celebrating 10 years with Indispensably Music!
From June 27 through July 6, the Oyster Bay Musical Festival, a classical music festival featuring highly talented and prize-winning young artists, 16-26, will celebrate its 10th anniversary. Rejoicing a return to live music this summer, OBMF introduces the theme Indispensably Music!
OBMF concerts feature gifted young musicians, who study at Juilliard, Yale School of Music, Eastman School of Music, San Francisco Conservatory, and Hofstra, among others. Often more seasoned professionals will join in the fun for a performance or two. Audience favorites such as the Zandieh Trio from Oyster Bay, pianist Maxim Lando, winner of the prestigious Young Concert Artists Competition, and award-winning flutist Matthew Ross will return this season. New guests such as sitarist Rishab Sharma, the youngest and last disciple of Ravi Shankar, and soprano Emily Donato, will be sure to delight.
Every single OBMF concert includes a variety show of singers, instrumentalists, chamber music, musical surprises, and good humor. On June 27 at 6:30 and 8:30 pm, our opening night at St. John’s, OBMF will be bringing Music that Inspires, featuring music that runs the gamut of musical emotion from opera arias of Mozart and Puccini, instrumental solos of Debussy and Schumann, to eclectic music on the sitar from Guest Artist Rishab Sharma, Ravi Shankar's youngest and last disciple. On June 30 at 6:30 and 8:30 pm and July 3 at 8 pm, OBMF will be featuring Music That Dares and Music That Transforms.Come join us to share in the magic!
