Ministry Leadership Weekend
September 8 and 9, 2018
St. John's Church
The core public mission and vocation of St. John’s Church is offering compelling and beautiful worship in the Episcopal-Anglican Tradition. Worship that inspires, delights, challenges, and comforts. So many people collaborate each week to make that possible - members of the Altar Guild and Flower Committee, Choirs, Lectors, Acolytes, Lay Eucharistic Ministers, Pew Book Ministers, Sunday School Volunteers - all work hard along with staff to prepare for Sunday worship and to execute a fitting and transformative offering to God week by week.
This weekend we gear up for the new program year with a time of training, reflection, and renewal with participants our Lectors, Lay Eucharistic Ministers, Altar Guild and Sunday School Volunteers .
Saturday, Spetember 8
Lectors: 11:00 am to 1:00 pm - Sanctuary & Bleecker Hall
Lay Eucharistic Ministers: 12 noon to 2:00 pm - Bleecker Hall & Sanctuary
Sunday, September 9
Sunday School Volunteers: 11:00 am - Sherwood Room
Altar Guild: 11:30 am - Sacristy
This will also be a time when parishioners interested in joining those ministries might make themselves known to the ministry leadership team so that they can be trained for those ministries and included in our scheduling throughout the year. We hope that all participants in our Sunday ministries will be able to join us for this at the start of the year. Parishioners of all ages and all skill levels can volunteer for these various ministries, with the exception of our Acolyte team which is limited to middle and high school students. Please consider joining us and sharing your gifts in worship!

Barry and Dick Grace (Lay Eucharistic Ministers)
Vasana Hildebrand (Flower Guild)
Billy Wresch (Altar Guild) and
