2024 Handel’s Messiah Sing

There is something truly magical about singing Handel’s Messiah during the holiday season—a shared experience that unites voices and hearts alike. This December, St. John’s Episcopal Church invites the community to join in its 2nd annual Handel’s Messiah Sing, taking place on Sunday, December 8, 2024, at 3:00 pm.
Whether you’re a seasoned Messiah singer or new to this cherished masterpiece, all are welcome to sing along with a chamber orchestra and soloists in the warm and historic setting of St. John’s. Participants are encouraged to bring their own score, or you may rent one on-site. This afternoon promises to be a beautiful tapestry of sound and spirit as voices from across the community blend in celebration and fellowship.
This year’s Messiah Sing is free, with a heartfelt invitation for donations to support St. Matthias School & Church in Deslandes, Haiti. Donations will help provide vital resources for this school and church community, allowing us to extend the holiday spirit far beyond our own walls. After the performance, all are invited to a festive reception to connect with fellow musicians, share stories, and celebrate the season together.
