Imagine! A Christmas Fair in December! Quam Dilecta!
St. John's Christmas Fair
Saturday, December 8, 10 am - 3 pm
Due to the 150th Convention of the Diocese of Long Island (with Presiding Bishop Curry attending) being scheduled for the weekend of November 17 - the traditional date for the St. John’s Christmas Fair - and after carefully considering the impact of the clergy and parish members attending this historic Convention, the Fair Committee concluded that holding the Fair on November 17 would not be possible. Rather than cancelling this year's Fair, another date available in the parish calendar was chosen – Saturday, December 8.
It is inevitable that the date change will have consequences, but it also provides opportunities to try new things. The Christmas Fair will feature many of the popular activities of the past but also be re-energized with some new features. Please note that this year we will not be collecting for Books or Nearly New. Donations are requested for Fine Linens, Jewelry and Baked Goods and Food offerings, Silent Auction and Raffle. See below and future At St. John's issues for donation updates on when and where to drop off.
Please join us in helping to fund Outreach while serving together and sharing a day at St. John's with the surrounding communities. A Fair Planning Meeting will be held in early Fall - date will be announced soon. You can contact the Fair Co-Chairs Joanna Bradford, Susan Collins, and Anna Wresch at [email protected].
