Bring your voice and wear something festive as we continue a holiday tradition for all ages! On Saturday, December 7, St. John’s will help spread the holiday cheer by singing Christmas Carols in the Village of Cold Spring Harbor. We will have a small brass ensemble accompanying volunteer singers. Join us and our festival brass as we sing good cheer for all to hear! No experience or talent necessary, just joy for the world! Caroling begins at the Cold Spring Harbor Fire House Museum located at 84 Main St.

News

St. John's Episcopal Church was the first religious institution to be established in Cold Spring Harbor. The first Episcopalian services were held in the little 18th century school house just above the site of the present church. The very first Vestry minutes, written in fine script on September 4, 1831, lists the founders who pledged $2,000 to build a new church.

Like our lives, our church community is a gift from God we neither earn nor deserve, and yet, it is ours. We are responsible for caring for it, for nourishing it, and for participating in the ever outpouring gift of God's grace which we share through our actions together. We are stewards of these gifts for as long as we live, and we steward the gift of this church so that future generations will have the opportunity to receive God’s grace and put it into action.

Our whole life and ministry is “Grace in Action.”
